OCTOBER HOLIDAY PROGRAM 2009
FORESTVILLE OSHC CENTRE
Primary OSHCare commenced the management of the Forestville OSHC Centre in January 2008. The Centre aims to provide a fun, relaxing, caring and stimulating environment for all children, as well as to be a resource for families. The centre philosophy is based upon the recognition of children’s unique interests and capabilities and the program is structured and planned accordingly each day.
Children are offered a range of activities which suit their individual learning and social needs as well as their interests. Homework and other clubs, such as Cooking, Dance, Scrapbooking & Sports also take place on a weekly basis. A wide variety outdoor and sports activities are planned and implemented within the range of outdoor school settings. Staff work closely with the school to enhance children’s learning and to assist in the integration of a whole school community.
Breakfast and afternoon tea is offered each day – consideration is given to children’s individual health and dietary requirements and children are encouraged to assist in the preparation and serving of snacks to develop social and self help skills consistent with these activities.
The Centre is co-ordinated by Brooke Henry, who holds a Diploma and many years experience in the education field.
Centre Policies and procedures are comprehensive and are based on the Quality Improvement and Accreditation system implemented by the National Childcare Accreditation Council. The Centre was validated by an NCAC Validator in September 2008 and is highly accredited.
A stimulating and exciting Vacation Care program is offered during each school holiday period. A variety of excursion and Centre based theme days are offered to the children. Popular days include Ten Pin Bowling, a day at the Movies, Disco day and Wheels Day.
Enrolment at the Centre is by the completion of forms and payment of an annual Administration Fee. Bookings can be made for permanent (regular) sessions or casually on or before the day that care is needed.
Full enrolment information, including an Information Book and fees schedule, is available on request.
Fees are subsidised by Childcare Benefit.
