Dance
Students from K - 2 have a weekly dance lesson with a specialist dance teacher during Term 1 and 2. All students, including boys, have the opportunity to try out for one of the dance groups. As well as performing at dance festivals, the talents and hard work of the dance groups are showcased at school functions such as open day and grandparents day.
 
Three dance groups are formed each year covering all students YR 1 - 6. For the last two years the YR 4 - 6 dance group has been selected to dance at the State Dance Festival which is a great honour and wonderful experience.
 
The dance program at Forestville continues to go from strength to strength with more and more opportunities offered to talented dancers. This year two talented dancers were sent to a K - 4 State Dance Day at The Sydney Dance Company in the city and every year some students from YR 5 are chosen to attend a dance camp with the Sydney North Dance Festival.
Forestville offers great opportunities for those interested in dance and talented students are offered many different enrichment activities.
