The Canteen (Neptune’s Cave) is a healthy foods canteen, where we serve low fat, low salt and low sugar items. The Canteen is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for morning tea & lunches and Friday lunchtime for sandwiches and counter sales only.  Lunch orders are either placed in a “mail” slot in the canteen door before school or can be ordered and paid for online – a fantastic new facility that is proving especially popular with busy working parents.

As well as providing nutritious lunches, Neptune's Cave aims to give children the experience of shopping for themselves and many affordable counter lines are available each day. 

Neptune's Cave is run entirely by parent volunteers.  Typically a team is rostered on just once a month but volunteers are welcome to offer to do more or less than this depending on their availability. The children just love it when it is one of their parents working in the canteen and, on those days, they are allowed to join you in the canteen while they eat their lunch.

As well as the volunteers behind the counter there is an all important team working hard behind the scenes to ensure that the canteen is stocked, that the roster is filled, that the accounts are in order and that canteen news is communicated to the school community.

All profits from Neptune's Cave are channelled back to the school via the P&C and used to improve school facilities and programs.
