Learning Support
The Learning Support Program at Forestville Public School operates from Year 1 to Year 6. Students who require additional support with their literacy skills are referred to The Learning Support Team. Those students are then assessed by the Support Teacher Learning Assistance. The student’s assessment results determine whether they participate in an individual or group support program. Also the Support Teacher may provide a program for the classroom teacher to use to provide additional support and practise.

Students who do participate in an individual or group program do so for at least one semester and longer if necessary. All students referred to the Learning Support Team are regularly monitored to provide the optimum learning opportunities.
