Student Leadership

At Forestville Public School we have a comprehensive Student Leadership Program.  All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 are given leadership opportunities. Each year School Captains and prefects are elected by the student body.  They represent the school at various functions both within and outside the school and they are responsible for such tasks as running weekly assemblies, welcoming visitors, chairing meetings etc.  In addition, House Captains are elected for each of our four sporting houses.  Their duties include organising houses and teams at sporting carnivals. Forestville strives to foster leadership through:

  • School Assemblies
  • Captain/Prefect System
  • Student Representative Council (SRC)
  • House System
  • Buddy Program
  • Sporting Activities
  • School Excursions
  • Library Monitors
  • Computer Monitors
  • Playground Monitors
