Our School Community

Community participation and support is one of our school’s greatest strengths.
The Forestville community is proud of its local school.

  • Parents are involved in all aspects of school life.
  • The P&C generously funds educational initiatives as well as organising a range of social activities for students, parents and staff.
  • Our extensive playing areas allow students to participate in creative and recreational play.  Parent working bees ensure that these are well maintained.
  • The School Council plays an important role in evaluating the effectiveness of school programs and determining future directions for our school.
  • Our parent operated canteen is a focal point of our school. It operates five days a week, providing delicious healthy lunches and snacks.

Forestville Public School welcomes and encourages parental involvement.  There are many ways in which parents are able to get involved with the school community both inside and outside of school hours.  For parents new to the school, getting involved can often be an invaluable way to meet new people and to quickly feel a part of the community.
